Adoration
“The Catholic Church has always offered and still offers to the sacrament of the Eucharist the cult of adoration, not only during Mass, but also outside of it, reserving the consecrated hosts with the utmost care, exposing them to the solemn veneration of the faithful, and carrying them in procession.”
(Paul VI, Mysterium Fidei, 56)
[Catechism of the Catholic Church, n. 1378]
We are very fortunate in the parish to have a dedicated group of people who ensure the worship of the Eucharist outside the celebration of Mass. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed with Benediction and Devotions at regular times in the parish. These precious moments in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament represent an opportunity for people in the parish, on an individual basis or as families, to embrace Jesus in a special way. Whatever the circumstances pertaining in our lives we can all derive spiritual benefit from some time spent in prayer, thanksgiving, praise or petition before Our Lord.
